Thanks to the passage of Issue 9, the City of Mayfield Heights has initiated Phase I and Phase II of the Mayfield Heights Parks Improvement Master Plan. Phase 1, the new Aquatic & Community Center, is in completion, with the Aquatic Center opening in August 2023 and the Community Center opening in September 2023.

Phase II: Reconfiguration of City Park

With the intent of extending the seasonal use of the park, The Master Plan includes a multi-purpose synthetic turf field, which would accommodate various sports activities for an additional 2-3 months out of the year.  Additionally, Phase II will include updated pavilions, an updated playground, and new park amenities. Trails

In 2017, the City of Mayfield Heights applied for and was awarded a TLCI grant from the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA). The grant made possible a comprehensive, city-wide study to identify long-term objectives for community connectivity. The objectives of the study have paved the way for additional grants and plans for a connector trail plan throughout the city. See more on the Trails page.
