Action Was Promised - Action is Being Delivered

Thanks to the easygoing late fall weather, the construction crew has been ramping up activity, trying mightily to get as much done before the real snow begins to fall.   Some might say this Herculean effort is a small Yuletide miracle.

Those who drive past the project daily can attest to noticeable additions to the site. Whereas all the prior work was being done on things that go underground, things are now materializing in full view, pinpointing actual spots that coincide with the renderings.

The most noticeable action is the gymnasium. The gymnasium can be noticed from all four directions, including a spectacular view from I-271. All four walls are up. Asphalt is poured around the building. The water detention pond is all dug out. The crane is out of the building, the steel has been shipped, and the concrete is about to be poured.

In addition to the gymnasium, both pools have been dug, formed, and will be ready to pour.

The parking lot has been asphalted around the curbs and islands.   The Service yard is getting some final touches. The footers for the community center and offices have been laid, making a complete layout viewable.

Action is happening, and it is as exciting to watch as it is waiting for presents on Christmas morning. As the days get shorter and there is less daylight to utilize, the hope is that more will take shape. Perhaps Santa will be able to see the wonderful progress as he passes over our ever-changing city. Check out the updated pictures HERE.
